About:
Thom Carter is a musician and producer. He has co-written music with Connor Reeves (songwriter/producer for Joss Stone, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker) and released his own solo work under a number of different artist names. He has also remixed tracks for other artists, including Paul Curreri (5/5, Mojo) and Cologne’s rising star, ‘Entertainment For The Braindead’.
Thom's music has been featured extensively on net-radio playlists and podcasts, and has won critical acclaim from within the music community, including magazines such as 'Blues Matters', ‘Rockerilla’, ‘Phlow’, ‘Comfort Comes’ and ‘Machtdose’. His solo albums and remixes have received over 200,000 downloads in total.
Recent projects have included contributions to the soundtrack of a documentary on business in Europe made by the University of Karlsruhe, Baden-Wuerttemberg (Germany), music, an appearance on the Open Thread Radio series 'New Possibilities for Music Production and Distribution’, and the publication of an album with the music/advertising agency FOEM. Thom has also collaborated with the Italian classical composer Fabrizio Paterlini on an album to be released in early 2010, as well as releasing two albums of instrumental music as 'Black Crown' on Verlaine Records.
Future releases include a promotional track for Mercedes Benz, a trilogy of Minimal States albums on Test Tube, and a third LP from Black Crown. There is also an album of Minimal States tracks remixed by other artists in the pipeline - the release will be on Cyclene Records in 2010.
